Kathleen Cromwell is a writer, teacher, public speaker, activist, herbalist, hypnotist, witch, cook and sound-practitioner who teaches writing, meditation, mind-mapping and cooking, and has taught at City College (CUNY), Bennington College, Union College, West Side YMCA NYC, and privately. She writes features, essays, commentary, reviews, speeches and recipes. Her writing has appeared in The New Yorker, where she was on the editorial staff for five years, New York, The New York Times, The Village Voice, Salon, More, Odyssey, Travel Squire, Chilled and the Athens News. She lives in New York City with her husband, the blues-rock guitarist, Spiros Soukis.
